Animal Services 2000 is a website containing valuable information on the care and safety of animal life of Putnam County and its surrounding counties (Florida). This area consists of Alachua, Bradford, Clay, Flagler, Marion, St. Johns and Volusia Counties.
    Animal Services 2000 website is a community service provided by Humane Animal Education and Services. The Mission of HAES is to promote the welfare of all animals in our area. HAES is an animal WELFARE organization - not an animal rights group.

Putnam County Emergency Animal Support Team

Putnam County Emergency Animal Support (Emergency Support Function #17) under Putnam County Emergency Management. Our need for volunteers is great. All needed training will be given. Volunteer team members are trained in compliance with Federal and State of FL regulations and Putnam County policies.

Activation of the Emergency Animal Support Team is through Putnam County Emergency Management.

TROPICAL STORM DEBBY MADE LANDFALL AROUND 5 PM EDT NEAR STEINHATCHEE FLORIDA. NORTHEAST OF THE STORM A PERSISTENT BAND OF VERY HEAVY RAINFALL CONTINUED TO INUNDATE PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST FLORIDA AND SOUTHEAST GEORGIA...WITH WIDESPREAD FLOODING IMMINENT.

THE LATEST FORECAST TRACK ANTICIPATES THE STORM MOVING EASTWARD ACROSS THE NORTH-CENTRAL FLORIDA PENINSULA TONIGHT...THEN MOVING OFFSHORE OF THE FLORIDA ATLANTIC COAST LATE WEDNESDAY. THE PRIMARY THREAT FROM DEBBY REMAINS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL.
