    Animal Services 2000 website is a community service provided by Humane Animal Education and Services. The Mission of HAES is to promote the welfare of all animals in our area. HAES is an animal WELFARE group - not an animal rights group. HAES is a project of Karl's Kids Program, Inc.

Conversational Leash Work & Dogmanship Through Feel Seminar

Conversational Leash Work ™ teaches handlers to use the leash in a non-confrontational way to instruct the dog via mutual cooperation. Tyler will show participants how to use the leash to speak as well as to listen, thus creating a “conversation” through direct feel. Tyler will break down beginner, intermediate, and advanced leash work exercises that will help handlers bring their training and relationship with their dogs to a whole new level.

Seminar will be held at the Dream Dogz Training Center in Gainesville.

Tyler will also be available for private sessions while he is in town, on Friday after 1 pm & Monday until about noon.
A 2-hour session is $200.

Future Karl's Kids Meetings

Karl's Kids Program, Inc. (KsKs) meetings will be held at the Interlachen Public Library located at 133 North County Road 315.

Dates and Times to be announced. First meeting expected to be in September.

At the KsKs meetings will be progress reports and announcements of new items for KsKs Project and Activities including:
Humane Animal Education & Services (HAES)
Assistance Dog Advocacy Project (ADAP)
Karl's Elementary Education, Pre-K through Grade 5 Project
Karl's Food & Product Disbursement Project

Information and training schedules will also be given for the Putnam County Emergency Animal Support Volunteers.

Meetings will be open to the Public.

Volunteers Needed

Are you interested in becoming a part of Putnam County Emergency Animal Support and volunteering to work in a Putnam Co. Pet-Friendly Evacuation Shelter (PFS)? If so complete an application and return it to the address listed. Upon approval of application, candidates will meet with Theresa A. Jennings, the Putnam County PFS Coordinator, for a follow-up interview. All needed training will be scheduled.

Putnam K9 Club ~ CGC Evaluations

AKC Canine Good Citizen Program Testing for Putnam K9 Club
was held on Sat., August 25 at The Log Cabin Farm & Vinyard and Winery on County Rd 309 in Satsuma.

Eleven dogs registered to be evaluated of which seven were pure bred / four mixed breeds.

Evaluation was done by Theresa A. Jennings, Executive Director of HAES and assisted by Kristi Adams, HAES Chairman.

A future evaluation for Putnam K9 Club members' dogs has been scheduled.
